This red grape was called ’Kékoportó’ for many years and became the flag wine of the Villány region.
Since they are grown on the deeper parts of the Villány hills, it is richer in acids. During the processing, we were soaking the grapes on their skins in steel containers for two weeks and then for anoher six months they were maturing in barrel skids. The very last stage was bottling. It is characterized by its pleasant flavour of tannins and a very nice fragrance of fruit. It is deep ruby and a preferred wine because of its low acidity.
A perfect match to red pepper Hungarian dishes and pasta.
